Adult Day Program Subsidy Program launched thanks to
support from Solara Health Partners

Attention Members:

Thanks to the generous support of Solara Health Partners, OSCC55+ is launching a new Adult Day Program Subsidy Program that will help make both Adult Day Program and transportation more affordable for seniors and families in our community.

With four branch locations (John Street, Northview, Conant, and our specialized secure site at Faith Place Apartments) our Adult Day Programs provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for older adults who may be living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, stroke, or other chronic conditions. Participants enjoy meaningful activities, social connections, exercise, and a nutritious lunch while spending the day with trained and caring staff. At the same time, caregivers receive valuable time to rest, work, or attend to their own needs, knowing their loved one is safe and supported.

While the program is partially funded by the Ministry of Health, families contribute $16 per day for program fees ($20 for our specialized program) along with transportation costs of $12 per round trip. These costs can quickly add up.

That’s where the new subsidy program comes in.

Thanks to Solara Health Partners, financial assistance will now be available to help offset both Adult Day Program fees and transportation costs, helping remove financial barriers for families who may not otherwise be able to afford the program. This support will allow more seniors and caregivers to access additional days of care, connection, and respite.
