'Let's Connect' brings together students and volunteers with older Adult Day Program participants who have dementia, through an assistive technology.

This program allows participants to learn computer game skills (on ipads and other tablets) that they can use independently in the home environment with minimal assistance from caregivers.

Engaging clients in these activities allows caregivers more free time thus reducing stress levels and enabling them to cope with caregiving responsibilities.

It is important to note, people with dementia are capable of learning these new skills.

Are you a caregiver, let us help!  Let's Connect! Learn more by watching the online workshop today or download the Caregiver Manual. You can also check out our list of Apps Used for the project.

Caregiver testimonials are a great way to see how you can benefit from this program - an OSCC client's family talks about Let's Connect with Daytime Durham.

The Let's Connect project was made possible by a SEED Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. We are pleased to announce the expansion of the project coming 2017 - 2019 thanks to a GROW Grant form the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
