In September 2021, Oshawa City Council approved a website upgrade to improve functionality and upgrade underlying technology on oscc.ca and oshawa.ca. The website upgrades are expected to be complete by the summer of 2022.
As part of the upgrade process, the OSCC55+ will be reviewing all content to ensure it is user-friendly, accessible and as engaging as possible.
The web upgrade project includes the reorganization of content to make it easier for online users to find information. Community members, business leaders and community partners were invited to take part in an online 'Treejack' exercise from December 1 until December 12.
During the virtual 10-15 minute exercise, participants were asked to complete a series of tasks to locate information on the oscc.ca OR oshawa.ca website. The answers for the tasks were found by clicking through the proposed site navigation.
Feedback from this exercise will assist the OSCC55+ staff in creating an intuitive and logical layout of content on the website.
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback!
