In response to the recent announcement of the Province of Ontario temporarily moving into Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen; the OSCC55+ will be making the following modifications to our operations effective 12:01 a.m. Wednesday January 5, 2022:

  • IN BRANCH 2022 Winter Activity Session is postponed until capacity restrictions ease, including in-person continuing education courses, drop in recreation programs and special events. Online Programs continue with a wide variety of programs to participate in during this time.
  • Community Support Services, as deemed essential by the Province of Ontario, will continue including Adult Day Program, Foot Care and Transportation Services.
  • All Branch Cafeterias are temporarily closed due to indoor dining restrictions. Pelican Catering continues to provide frozen food options and the OSCC55+ grocery program continues.  As well hot meals are available upon request for pickup at the John Street Branch only.
  • The John Street, Northview and Conant Branches remain open for customer service with operating hours of Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Delpark Homes and Sikorski Branches remain closed at this time.

The health and safety of our members, volunteers and staff remain a top priority.

Telephone Outreach Program
Would you or a senior you know like to receive weekly check-in calls during this time of physical distancing? OSCC55+ is pleased to provide a weekly phone check-in service to help reduce feelings of isolation. To register, please call 905-576-6712 ext. 2830 or email

Follow Oshawa Senior Community Centres 55+ on facebook for entertaining videos, program and fitness demonstrations and useful links to help keep you engaged and active. We invite you to comment and share with your friends, stay connected to your community. We'll get through this together!
Online Programs 
Our staff are actively planning new and innovative programs for you to enjoy on your computer, smart phone or tablet from the convenience of your home. These interactive programs will be accessible via our Online Programs page and hosted through Zoom. Please note, recreation programs do remain free at this time, but registration and membership is required for online continuing education courses. See the latest Activity Guide for details. 
OSCC55+ COVID-19 Resources

OSCC55+ has resources to assist during the Covid-19 pandemic. Staff at the OSCC55+ can help seniors and caregivers navigate the health care and community services system. We have compiled a list of agencies that may benefit you or your loved one. If you have a specific need and don't see what you're looking for, contact us for more assistance.

Grocery Order and Delivery Service

The OSCC55+ is offering a free delivery service for your grocery needs.  Just call or email with your order. In partnership with a local grocery store your order will be filled. Once filled the OSCC55+ van service will deliver your order to your door. The driver will present you with the grocery bill and accept your payment by cheque. Participants can order once a week with a maximum of 15 items per order.  We do try for next day delivery. For more information, call 905-576-6712 ext. 2830 or email

Frozen Meals Order & Delivery Program

Pelican Catering is proud to be able to provide you with access to nutritious frozen meals. 

Effective November 1, 2021 all frozen meal orders must be placed directly with Pelican Catering. Call 905-728-5167 for more information or to place your order. 

Orders will be delivered to the John Street Branch for pick up.
