Teach, connect, inspire and help others develop skills around technology.

The OSCC55+ is looking for volunteers and paid Online Course Instructors who are comfortable with technology assist with the Stay Active Stay Connected Expansion Project. 

Image of Tech Volunteers Wanted PosterThe Virtual Tech Volunteer position provides one-on-one and group technology training support to seniors so that they can get connected and independently participate in OSCC55+ online programs using Zoom. The Stay Active Stay Connected Expansion Project is partly funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.  

Volunteers must have prior experience using computers, tablets, etc. and be comfortable using platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Best of all, this volunteer opportunity can be completed from the comfort and safety of your own home, or, when Covid restrictions allow, in person at an OSCC55+ Branch.

We are also actively recruiting Online Course Instructors to share their skills and talents with our membership by teaching courses at OSCC55+. We are actively recruiting both volunteer and paid qualified course instructors in the following areas:

  • Fitness

  • Arts & Crafts

  • General Interest

  • Computers & Technology

  • Wellness

Applicants must:

  • be certified/qualified to teach subject matter

  • provide professional insurance (or be willing to obtain through OSCC55+)

  • be able to commit to teaching for a full activity session or workshop date

  • submit a resume and proposed course outline including material supply lists required.
