Computers- Absolute Beginners:
This non intimidating class will teach you the basics of computers including using a mouse, programs, surfing the internet and more
Computers- Beginners:
Come to class with your suggested topics to help guide your customized course. Instructor will have prepared topics but will incorporate participant ideas in designing an agenda in Week One. Level 2 Computers is a suggested pre-requisite.
Computers- Level 1: 
We will cover Windows 7. Topics include: layout of the desktop, managing folders in the Document Library, internet basics, using email, safety and security. Ability to use a mouse is required.
Computers- Level 2: 
A continuation of Level 1 using Windows 7. Topics may include: customizing the desktop, creating files in Word or Excel, tips and tricks for internet and email plus other topics that come up in class. Lots of time will be spent on practice and review. Computers Level 1 is a recommended pre-requisite.
Computer Club
Each week, new tips will be shared and demonstrated for you to get the most out of your laptop or desktop computer.  Bring your questions and be prepared to have fun!  Perfect for those who have completed Level 1 and Level 2 and still want to learn more!
Computer Essentials: 
Learn about email management, browsing the internet effectively, keep backups using a USB memory stick, CD & DVD copying and online backup One Drive. Learn how to store photos and documents online.
Computers- Exploring the Internet: 
Learn how to manage favourites, customize the start page, printing content from the internet and other tricks to make your "surf sessions" more effective. Previous internet experience is recommended.
Computers- Safety and Security: 
Learn about keeping yourself (and your computer) safe when using the Internet. Virus protection, potential threats and scams, avoiding being hacked, back-ups and other topics will be discussed.
 Computers- Windows Live Gallery (Photo Editing): 
An opportunity to explore basic photo editing such as cropping, rotating, red eye reduction using Windows Live Photo Gallery.
We'll cover how to manage your profile, posting updates and photos, understanding the news feed and communicating with your friends.
Google Chrome
Learn how to effectively search the internet, manage bookmarks, adjust settings and other tips.  Ideal for those using a computer or Android tablet.
iCloud/Drop Box
Learn about "cloud storage" of your photos and other data.  Learn the benefits and security issues as well costs.  Bring iPad or Laptop.
iPad-Level 1: 
The iPad has revolutionized computing, but how to get started? We'll explore the iPad, the App Store and how to get going with this amazing device. Using current IOS software.
iPad- Level 2: 
With basics under control, we'll go further into how to integrate this device in your life. 
Intro to Cell Phones
Learn about the different types of smartphones and plans available.  Topics: talk and text, data plans, sim cards, unlocked phones and plans for snowbirds.  Great class for those wishing to purchase a cell phone or want to move up from a flip phone.
Internet Security
It's sad, but most computer scams are targeting Seniors.  Come learn about how some of them work and help protect yourself and your computer from harm.
Microsoft Excel
Review beginner topics such as creating basic spreadsheets, formatting, common calculations and spreadsheet layout.  Lots of time to practice. Level 1 experience is a pre-requisite.
Microsoft Word
Topics: opening, saving and printing documents, formatting text & inserting tables & images.  Level 1 computers is recommended.
Come and learn how to use your iPad or computer to communicate face-to-face with friends and family all over the world for free!  Some basic computer skills needed.
Social Media
See demonstrations of some popular social media sites and try your hand at using some of them: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube & Skype.  Ability to use a mouse is required.
Take control of your Digital Camera
For SLR cameras/point & shoot cameras capable of manual mode.  Topics: Resolution, metreing, shooting mode, exposure, composition, lighting & flash.
Understanding your Android Tablet, Level 1
